Cerealia Festival 2024 - XIV Edition
The 14th edition of the international festival "Cerealia. The Festival of Cereals. Ceres and the Mediterranean" begins on September 14, 2024, with an international event dedicated to the history and culture of Albania, hosted at Villa Falconieri in Frascati. This edition features over 37 events across eight Italian regions, including Rome. The festival promotes cultural and scientific dissemination, reestablishing connections between territories and communities, and reviving traditions that respect the land. The program includes guided tours, tastings, concerts, and an international conference in Rome on October 25.
Other initiatives of Cerealia are also scheduled this year as part of the Estate Romana, in partnership with the festival “Ponte Lupo, the Giant of Water – 4th Festival of the Ancient Roman Countryside” (July 6 – October 6).
In November, Cerealia will once again participate in the SCIM – Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, promoted annually by the MAECI. Inspired by the Vestalia and Ludi of Ceres from ancient Rome, Cerealia is a transdisciplinary network project. The 14th edition is dedicated to the memory of Maurizio Miranda, who passed away on May 25, 2024.
